Pinwheels left Tuesday morning for San Antonio for a week. His brother is getting married on Saturday and he’s a member of the wedding party.
So, that leaves me with two kids, reading for my research paper, reading my chapter for the week, homework for the week, school for Flash, laundry, dishes…you get the picture. [...]

Technically, it’s not Friday anymore, but that’s not going to stop me.
You may not know this, but Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite movie. Therefore, I had to pick Ith’s post on the three main actors (Depp, Bloom, & Knightly) of the movie participating in an around the world race to promote the [...]

Flash brought home a note from the school giving us the dates and times to register for school next year. Our school registers April 4-8 from 8-4. I asked her teacher today if there’s some kind of order for registering. Not a chance. You just go to the school and apparently [...]

Flash finished her swim lessons yesterday. We get a week off and then we start again. And this time, Peanut will be joining her. He and I have been playing in the big pool during her lessons to get him more comfortable in the water and it seems to be working. [...]

Today each one of us had an accomplishment of some nature.
Peanut is usually attached to my neck and body when we go swimming, but today he actually became comfortable in his life vest and had quite a ball floating around the pool by himself. “Me do it, mommy,” or “drop me (as in let [...]

Here is my first weekly Friendly Friday post. I don’t comment much on the blogs I read, but I want to show my support and appreciation so I am going to start linking to posts each week from the bloggers on my blogroll.
Ith brings us the 2nd Annual Gathering of the Blogs in honor [...]

Can someone explain this to me? As you all may know, The Incredibles came out this week (March 15) on DVD and VHS. You with me so far? As I was browsing a friend’s website, I noticed on her Amazon list The Incredibles was listed. Still no surprise. Here’s the [...]

Here’s my recipe for this week’s Carnival of the Recipes. I made it up all by myself. Pinwheels was impressed and polished off what little was left the next day.
Mock Meatball Sub
1 wide french bread loaf
1 lb. lean hamburger
pizza sauce
mozzarella
1. I first toasted my bread (whole) in the oven at 350 for [...]

Mommy said Miss VW’s #1 son sent me some questions about books. Since mommy is busy working on her test I can sneak over here and do my answers.
You’re stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be? What? What is fare-in-hite? #1 Son used his favorite book so [...]

It’s midterms week. I am very glad at this time to only have the one class. The test is not bad, but having to read for my research paper as well is starting to get to me. My test is 76 (1-point) multiple choice questions and 4 (6-point) short essay questions. [...]

We found out yesterday Pinwheels will be spending three months this summer in New Jersey for a class. We were hoping he could take the class next spring on the way to our next base, but things change. I knew he would get picked. He impressed some semi-important people out here in [...]

Today is the day! Today is my birthday! Another year gone by. My dad asked me today if I felt old. I laughed and told him if I was old that made him old too, so I don’t think either one of us will be admitting any time soon that we’re [...]

Sarahk offered a reward for the reader who was the 200,000th hit and guess who it was? Me, me, me I did do a bit of lurking in the 10 minutes before it reached 200,000 because I was sooo close, and it paid off. As soon as I shrink the screenschot I [...]

Sarahk reminded me yesterday I forgot to let you all know Pinwheels made it home safely. He also came home empty-handed. He didn’t win the CGO of the year award for the Group. What really disappointed him is no one in his squadron won an award. At least they had a [...]

I just saw a commercial for an Iams product called Savory Sauces. It’s a sauce you put on your dog’s dry dog food. Oh, it’s not just for flavor, but has antioxidants, essential vitamins, and minerals. There are even different flavors, and for each of three age groups: puppy, adult, and [...]

Now that I’ve had tune steak I’m a little confused. Tuna steak tastes nothing like fish as we all now know. So how come tuna in a can or pouch has a distinct fish aroma and taste? Is it because of age or what part of the tuna you use? It’s [...]
