Heard at our house yesterday after another discussion where Flash was right and Mommy was wrong (according to Flash).
Mommy: Nothing I say is ever right with you.
Flash: (patting my arm and with a sweet voice) But I still love you.
Peanut: Nona, can I have goat milk?
And then? He drank it. lol Who knew?
According to Peanut, “If you don’t eat you will shrink into a skeleton.”
True. It just takes a very long time. I just found out he heard it on a video he was watching. I thought he had come up with it on his own. It’s still cute.

This was one of Peanut’s comments today when we had a hailstorm during a thunderstorm. The hail was almost golf-ball sized. His first thought was that it was snowing but soon switched to ice cubes.

It looks like Flash might have her first loose tooth. It does not reallly wiggle but it does give ever so slightly. I’m thinking it might still be a couple of weeks before it actually falls out.

Yesterday we bought several outfits for winter for the mountains in New Zealand. Included in this was a sweatshirt for each child.
Flash got dressed this morning for church and then proceeded with this request.
Flash: “It’s going to be really, really cold in church. I’m gonna need a sweatshirt. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?”

We went out to dinner the other night. I thought the kids might sleep on the way home because it was a little past their bedtime. However, they did not. In fact, Flash talked for almost 10 straight minutes to her dad, telling him things and asking him about other things. [...]
Flash decided in the last few minutes before going into her classroom that she didn’t want to go to school today. I offered a deal: “If you go today, you don’t have to go tomorrow.” Hee hee. So she didn’t realize it was Friday and it was her last day anyway.

This morning we met Flash’s kindergarten teacher and aide. They both seem very nice. Flash is extremely excited to be starting school. This morning she came in my room dressed and ready with backpack on. Too bad school doesn’t start until tomorrow.

Yesterday, I put a bike lock on the refrigerator to keep my little angels out of it. We have a side-by-side which made locking the doors together rather easy. Now, I don’t have to worry about freezer pops or juice boxes wandering off by themselves. Can you imagine my sweet babies doing [...]
I was putting laundry away today and Peanut climbed on my back. I carried him down the hallway as well as the clothes in my hands. As we walked he said, “I got you mommy” so I asked him what I “got.” His answer, referring to himself, “a monkey.”
Lately, when we park in a parking space Peanut will comment. He’ll say, “This is a good spot.”
Peanut pointed at something on the floor the other day and said, “That is way too funky.”

Heard Monday after dressing up for preschool concert with Sunday dress, Sunday shoes, fingernail polish, and lipstick:

I had a lot of kids in my house today.
10:15-1130: 3 kids
11:45-1:50: 4 kids
2:10-3:45: 5 kids
I am tired and I did not get a lot of extra housework done today, but I was able to help out two friends. Tiring, but worth it.
